A hard-wearing soft shell for cooler climates, the Bora series is designed to keep you warm against wind and moisture without over heating. Fabricated with four-way stretch material, every cut line of this series allows for maximum movement and full range of motion. This abrasion resistant shell features a windproof and water resistant laminate and Schoeller®’s revolutionary fabric technology c-change®. The c-change® fabric has the ability to actively react to your bodies changing temperature and moisture levels. The polymer structure of the c-change® membrane opens or closes in response to the corresponding activity levels. As activity levels increase, excess heat and moisture that your body generates is allowed to escape to the outside air as the polymer structure opens. During periods of low activity levels such as sitting and glassing, the polymer structure contracts and keeps the heat close to the body. Shivering and chilling are effectively prevented. The Bora series is one of our most advanced products to date. It was designed with the hard-core hunter in mind and created to traverse some of the most challenging environments. It is the perfect combination of wind, water and moisture management technology.

I wore this jacket as my outer layer for a 12 day hunt in Kodiak. This thing is bomb proof. I am 6'2" 180 lbs, I ordered a large and the sleeve length is perfect; hood is awesome. I ran though countless alders and thorns, and can't find a single hole or piling anywhere. The water repellency is awesome too. I got dumped on with rain for several hours, and the only place I found any seep through was on the seem in the forearm. Once I layered this with the Takur Jacket, I was dry inside when it rained for 10 hours straight. I had plenty of room to comfortably run 2 layers and a vest underneath while glassing and still fit the Takur over top without feeling like the marshmallow man. Awesome Jacket!
Just got my new Bora Jacket in yesterday. It’s everything I hoped it would be. Outstanding fit, build quality , and features. Man, this thing is sweet. This will fill the role of a few different pieces for me, including as a rain jacket for everything except a full-on gully washer. The folks at Kryptek shipped to me quick, even though they’re down to a skeleton crew due to this CV-19 madness. Bravo, Kryptek!
This jacket has become my favorite its my go to for all hunting in Alaska to include sheep hunts and moose! You really cant beat the quality with other brands. It is durable and I especially like how it stretches to allow for ease of movement. I don't need a rain jacket for the most of the weather in part because this jacket does such a good job of shedding water and keeping me dry. The pattern is also killer and a personal favorite of mine. I highly recommend buying this jacket and the matching pants if you are trying to decide what levels to buy. Especially if you only buy one level get the bora set. You wont be disappointed. Its so comfortable, warm, and feels great, I like to wear it as an everyday jacket out running errands or other activities.
"Love the Jacket and Pants, But...."
I really like this jacket and pant combo. The pattern is great, I stayed warm all day in single digit weather Elk hunting. I only wore a pair of light weight thermal pants and a puffy jacket under this set and was warm all day. My only complaint, and I see others now with the same complaint, is how noisy they are. Long range hunting you'll be fine, but archery hunting there's too much noise. My buddy was about 50 yards from me walking out of the field and said I sounded like I was wearing new snow pants from the 80's. With that said, I shot my biggest bull elk to date wearing this gear. I was rifle hunting and roughly 250 yards away so no concern with the noise. Also, these KICK A$$ for repelling stains. I thought for sure there would be blood stains all over them when I finished field dressing the elk. NOPE, I hit them with the hose 2 days later (wife wouldn't let me put in washing machine until I did) and 95% of the blood came off with just the hose. Put them in the washing machine and the rest came out. It was awesome!!!
"Not as warm as before but still great"
I think the older kryptec I have is warmer but this one is still warm and love the new colors n design good qaulity
Perefect all season/all terrain soft shell that you'll wear morning to night. Everything fits snug and tight to keep out of the way. Really silent fabric. I love having the hoodie for early morning or wind. Must have in the arsenal.
Well-designed, form-fitting quality top that you can wear in wide range of wether conditions. Structure and design feels really natural and functional for archery hunting especially. Camo pattern and tone is very light and neutral and dissappears into a varitey of terrain.
"No shoulder pocket, but still awesome!!!"
I got this two days ago and purchased it on Amazon, I would recommend buying straight through the website here. You could definitely layer with this for Minnesota hunting, it is pricey, but thus far seems high quality, unique and functional. The large fits me well 5’9, 180lbs. The Bora jacket I got appears to have all the features other than the shoulder pocket, only four pockets on mine, pit zips are nice, no worries still a wonderful jacket without the shoulder pocket. I thought so highly of the jacket I then bought the Arma hoodie, awaiting it’s arrival in the mail!
"Perfect for hiking in the Adirondack "
Expensive. Worth it. Have hiked all over the Adirondacks this winter in the Bora jacket and pant. This gear seems almost mystical. 14 degrees, hiking up snowy mountains, sweating like a horse, stopping for the view, or just rolling around town in 40's °F weather in upstate NY, this gear stays warm (or cool) and performs. Water wicks away quickly (drenched, sweaty back is dry inside an hour). You can literally feel the wind blowing off the heat as you hop out of your warm vehicle, then within 5 mins it closes up and gets warm again. Can't recommend it enough. Camo also perfectly match winter mountains. Zippers and pockets all where they need to be, comfortable and fit as expected with room for a base layer or two plus a thin down jacket for extremes. Out of all my gear, this is hands down the best I've owned.
