"Cadog Typhon jacket"
Great jacket, love the camo pattern for night time, warm, repealed rain and sleet with no issues. But the buyer should be aware that when looking through image intensifier night vision devices , this jacket looks bright. Apparently the I R reflectivity of the waterproof coding makes it very bright and easy to see through I2 night vision. Probably no big deal for most, but you should be aware.
"Why don’t you own this jacket?"
This jacket is awsome. I have the Typhon and love it.Only had a week but, its been in rain, wind and sleet. Its perfect for temps in the high or upper 30’s on up, with a long sleeve on. The fleece is cozy! The pockets are plentiful. IDK if I’D wear it in temps at the freezing mark or lower, but if you paired this jacket with the Vellus which i also have, one would feel like a piece of toast in a toaster no matter what the weather threw at you. Do yourself a favor and get this jacket!
I have used a Cadog Jacket in Highlander for years hunting Great Plains & Rockies for deer, turkey, elk, even ducks! Perfect camo for these terrains. Jacket has the right amount of pockets for all the stuff we carry. Works great over light shirt during cool weather and with Merino wool base + wool shirt/sweater in cold weather. It got even better when it became available in Typhon camo - perfect for ground blind or in timber shadows.
Wore this out on a coyote hunt in 23 degrees and I love it. Its not meant for still hunting for long periods of time, but if you are even moderately active it will keep you very warm. Wore this over a cronos Hoodie and mid weight base layer and was pretty toasty. Would recommend!
"I love this jacket!"
Perfection! Plenty of storage and is extremely comfortable and warm! I wear the vest and a base layer underneath the jacket and stayed comfortable all day in 18-38 degree weather and it really cuts the wind also! It has vents in the arm pits to allow ventilation of needed and I feel this is a great feature....I purchased the whole cadog line and couldn't be happier!
Warmth without the weight. Super in windy conditions. Highly recommend this.
The most versatile jacket I own. I have worn this jacket on a December deer hunt in KS in 30mph wind and temps in the 20s to a NW Colorado late season elk hunt with temps from single digits to high teens and 4" of snow (paired with the Vellus Jacket on top). I was warm and comfortable both trips. PIt zips are great for dumping heat, roomy pockets and a perfect fit.
I finally got to put my Cadog jacket and pants to work. Deer hunting in Alabama, 40 degrees with a 32 degree windchill. The jacket with a Kryptek hoodie and a mid weight base layer was the perfect setup. The Cadog jacket kept the cold wind under control. I was comfortable during the hike in and while sitting in the brush. A+!
"Cadog Highlander jacket"
Very nice spring/fall jacket. Real nice fleece liner, plenty of pockets and room. Nice stitching and pattern! Perfect for Eastern Washington state!
