The Ghar jacket combines several unique technologies, making it one of the leading insulated jackets on the market. Featuring "smart warmth" technology, two of the industry's premier insulations are ergonomically placed where their properties are best suited for exposure.
PrimaLoft® Gold blend uses DWR treated, hydrophobic down packed in the body baffles where you need the maximum amount of warmth while still providing water resistance, and PrimaLoft® Gold synthetic insulation on the shoulders, pits and sleeves where moisture is most likely to accrue first and is easily shed by the water resistant synthetics.
Fabricated with a 100% Poly-shell, the Ghar features a DWR/CIRE treatment and is athletically cut for freedom of movement. The Ghar is highly packable and lightweight, providing quick warmth when the temperatures drop, even when conditions are wet.

Super warm but light weight and breathable. This thing compresses down to nothing. Great for glassing, wearing around camp and as a base layer in cold weather. Again, the camo pattern is the perfect tone/shade for all-weather and terrain.
40 days in my Gahr from late September to early December. Very happy with this jacket. Light, breathable, warm, and compact. Sheds snow very well and can get you through a light shower too. Other than a few nicks, it’s ready for more. And Altitude pattern is sharp enough to wear to town.
Warmest puffy layer I’ve found. Sizing is spot on- athletic fit but can still layer over a mid weight fleece. Quality construction. My preference is also for no hood on my puffy, so this works quite well.
I am very pleased with the quality of the entire Altitude line. The Ghar is very packable, light weight and warm. If your in the market for a light weight puffy jacket you will not be disappointed.
I have so many puffy coats, and even the Ladies Highlander Hera puffy (which is fabulous) but nothing can compare to this. It is so soft and quiet, not super swishy like most puffy coats that I have. The warmth is really dialed in to the spots that I get the most heat loss in. The pockets for my hands are super deep and I can get half way up my forearms when stopping to scan a mountain side or catch my breath. This jacket is worth its weight in GOLD!
"Best Early Christmas Gift"
I purchased this jacket for my husband as an early Christmas gift. It’s extremely high quality, fits perfectly, he said it’s extremely comfortable and toasty warm. Best Christmas gift ever
I’ve used this jacket on 2 sheep hunts, 3 elk hunts and more. I also wear the thing to work nearly every day. The fit is perfect the function is perfect and I won’t go hunting without it. My favorite puffy in the Kryptek line.
Got my Ghar jacket in time for elk season in Idaho. Stuffed it in its own pocket and the. In my pack and forgot it was there. Until I needed it that first chilly night glassing and waiting. It is the perfect lightweight jacket for your pack that provides great amount of warmth when needed and repels the rain too!! I would highly recommend this jacket. Thank you Kryptek!!
"Great product!! Very warm and comfortable. Sizeing fits great. "
