Windproof and Waterproof, the Takur series is our answer to facing the harshest elements. Built with Schoeller®’s cutting edge fabric technology, the Takur series uses a three-layer, 100 percent waterproof laminate rated at 19,500mm H2O. This means you get maximum protection in wet conditions. In addition, we added Schoeller® c-change® technology which reacts to your bodies activity levels to ensure a pleasant body climate. The technology in this jacket is able to react to changing temperatures and moisture levels by means of an advanced polymer fabric structure. The structure contracts at periods of LOW activity levels keeping you warm and dry while expanding at periods of HIGH activity levels, allowing moisture vapor to be released to the outside air. This rain gear is truly on the forefront of fabric technology. Pack it in for extended stays and forget about mother nature.
I bought XL in all the other Altitude products but ordered 2XL in the Takur jacket for wearing over a puffy and mids without over compression. Fit is good that way with a little room to spare and I am thinking I may swap it back for an XL. My Tora in XL fits over a puffy without feeling too tight so I may change the Takur to XL. I am 5-11, 225, short legs. Arms and length are good for me in both jackets, good room in the shoulders and torso without feeling baggy. The 2XL is a little loose in the body if I am not wearing a puffy under it. I really like the hood on these jackets. I can't speak to durability or function as yet, but as a long time fan of Kryptek owning nearly everything they have made, the Altitude line gives me goosebumps the way it feels and the obvious R&D that went into producing it. I think the Takur set will replace my Koldo set in nearly all my upcoming hunts.

This outer layer has been well worth the investment for me so far. The breathe-ability was beyond my expectations when I wore it on a hike out from a glassing spot a few weekends ago (August). Good Job Kryptek!

"Great fit, quality "
First, this review is mainly for fit. I have not used the product yet. I have other rain gear from FL, Sitka, Simms, this is the highest quality I have purchased. I have not used it yet in bad weather but I don’t have any doubt it will work. The fit is excellent. I am 5’8” 190, 44-45 chest, 32 waste. I bought the large. The arms are a little longs but if you’re my height you are used to this. The fit is the perfect blend for mobility while still being slim cut. I tried on with all my normal layers and it fit exactly as I need ( I order large for all tops). The print is excellent. Camp pattern aside because it is unique to Kryptek, the print gives the best contrast for colors of all brands I have. It has no blueish colors, it’s not shiny, and it looks very durable. I’m excited to beat the hell out of this piece.

"Solid Rain Gear"
Had a chance to test this jacket while moving cattle in a serious Wyoming rain storm! I can’t imagine a piece of gear preforming any better. I’m 6’2” - 200lbs and size large fits perfectly! I’ll be testing this jacket out again this fall on a Wy Mt. Goat hunt, and I’m confident it will continue to impress!

"Best Rain gear you can purchase anywhere."
I became a believer of the Kryptek brand a few years ago when I realized the research involved and superior products. I bought this jacket as my packable rain top so that I could use it in harsh Alaskan weather. I hunt year round and this jacket performs better than I imagined. It really is waterproof 100percent and I swear I cant tear it if I tried. I'm really impressed by the new altitude line. I highly recommend his jacket for staying dry and warm to break the wind and retain body heat. The pattern is so versatile as well I use it in the dense forest and up high for sheep and caribou hunting.

"Excellent gear that performs "
I have been archery hunting deer for 3 years now, and typically above treeline. I have the highlander line which I love, and was in the market for a good set of rain gear. I loved the altitude pattern as it matched perfectly with the terrain I hunt. I did a lot of research into the Scholler fabric prior to my purchase and could really only find good things said about it so when the sale came up I went for almost all of the Altitude line.
I can not say enough good things about this gear. I have seen the complaints about the price but I promise you get what you pay for. I have never had hunting clothing that I can feel work they way they say. Hiking at 12,000+ ft and sitting down glassing frequently you get hot and cold all the time. This stuff breathes when you are hiking, and whicks the moisture and keeps you warm when glassing. This is a layering system, and works as advertised when used together. The rain gear is a little heavier, but is 100% wind and waterproof, so much in fact I actually enjoyed sitting in my glassing spot during a rain storm. I highly recommend this to anyone who expects good gear to perform when they are hunting The only complaint I have is not going for every piece of the collection when I bought it.
To top it off, I ordered one size too big on a jacket, and called on it right when I got it. Within 10 minutes I had instructions to return it for a smaller size, and had it returned to me within a week and had it before hunting season.

"Best rain gear ever....."
This jacket is the best rain jacket I have ever used. I was amazed by the breath-ability and there was nothing wet underneath on my layers at the end of the day. Schoeller fabric sets the bar on performance, durability and breath-ability.
