Windproof and Waterproof, the Takur series is our answer to facing the harshest elements. Built with Schoeller®’s cutting edge fabric technology, the Takur series uses a three-layer, 100 percent waterproof laminate rated at 19,500mm H2O. This means you get maximum protection in wet conditions. In addition, we added Schoeller® c-change® technology which reacts to your bodies activity levels to ensure a pleasant body climate. The technology in this jacket is able to react to changing temperatures and moisture levels by means of an advanced polymer fabric structure. The structure contracts at periods of LOW activity levels keeping you warm and dry while expanding at periods of HIGH activity levels, allowing moisture vapor to be released to the outside air. This rain gear is truly on the forefront of fabric technology. Pack it in for extended stays and forget about mother nature.
"In my opinion this is the toughest rain gear out there. Has stayed waterproof since day one."
This jacket is badass!!!! Myself and several of the guides I work with have all been using this and other items from the Altitude series. All of it has been exceptional, it fits great and is very durable.

"My favorite item of clothing!!!"
This jacket is hands down the best item of clothing i have ever owned. My ground is Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The First day i wore this jacket it was 2•. I spent a night in the snow walking out to a lake to catch the sunrise and track the reflection of the morning stars in the ponds. I got the wrong size and had to order another. I wear a size small but for the outer layer i need a large to allow space for the down jacket to work and keep me warm. I pair this with the down jacket and wool longsleeve for the top I was okay. But i ordered the baselayer to add more warmth.

"Works as described. They need to offer this in the brown pattern as well"
Hopefully it lasts, as this and the pants are pretty expensive for most of the people with a normal income..

Love the jacket, just wish the hood was removable.

I'm 6'3" 250lbs, and purchased a 2XL Tabor vest and 2XL Ghar jacket for mid-layer options. After getting feedback from Kryptek, I took a jump and got the Takur jacket in 3XL. Perfect choice. It's not overly bulky in the shoulders, and the wrist adjustment compensated for the slightly longer sleeves. But, the length is perfect. The fabric feels pretty silent, but I won't know until I get it into the field. But, for a cold/wet weather top layer, it fits what I was looking for. Superior construction, so it should be able to take a fair amount of wear. Strong work, as always, Kryptek

I bought XL in all the other Altitude products but ordered 2XL in the Takur jacket for wearing over a puffy and mids without over compression. Fit is good that way with a little room to spare and I am thinking I may swap it back for an XL. My Tora in XL fits over a puffy without feeling too tight so I may change the Takur to XL. I am 5-11, 225, short legs. Arms and length are good for me in both jackets, good room in the shoulders and torso without feeling baggy. The 2XL is a little loose in the body if I am not wearing a puffy under it. I really like the hood on these jackets. I can't speak to durability or function as yet, but as a long time fan of Kryptek owning nearly everything they have made, the Altitude line gives me goosebumps the way it feels and the obvious R&D that went into producing it. I think the Takur set will replace my Koldo set in nearly all my upcoming hunts.
