Key Features
The Lykos II Jacket is one of Kryptek's most popular insulated jackets. 100% synthetic insulation separates the Lykos II jacket from other insulated jackets. Designed to perform even when wet, synthetic insulation dries faster, doesn't clump like down, and keeps you warm. The perfect lifestyle jacket for everyday use or a functional and extremely lightweight layering piece, the Lykos II Jacket now comes in Kryptek's Highlander pattern. Equal to 800 fill-power, the Lykos II Jacket is loftier than down at the same basis weight and provides exceptional protection from the elements for the active user.

Lykos II Jacket

"Lykos II Jacket"
This jacket's warmth is unreal. I have heavy down coats that struggle to compete with the warmth provided by the lightweight Lykos II. My only complaint, and the only reason that I could not give it five stars, is that it has no cell phone chest pocket on the interior or the exterior. In cold weather keeping your phone warm keeps it alive, and the standard side pockets are a cumbersome spot for a phone when a waist strap for a pack is involved. Great coat, and a great company, just a slight design flaw!
"Lykos II Jacket"
Excellent jacket. Lightweight but very warm. It does fit a little snug so if you’re borderline on size, go up one.
"Try it on first"
okay the bad first. this Jacket very much has an athletics cut. which is is part of what helps it keep you warm as it hugs the body. I am a lean 5'9" 170lb man. My wife bought me a Large, it is tight across the shoulders, to the point I do worry I may rip it. No one looks at me physically and thinks large man. This coat will be a street coat as there is no way I could wear it over any layers. a t-shirt and hoody is pushing it as is. SO if you want it for an outer layer while already geared up try it on or Size UP. Now for the good. light weight, packable, looks sharp and certainly keeps you warm. I am happy enough with this as a street coat that I will Just buy an XL in Highlander to be my hunting layer.
"Lykos II"
Love it, super light and very warm, a little snug in the armpits but still a go to jacket.
"Lykos 2 Jacket"
Really like this puffy so far. I've owned several other brands, (both down & synthetic). This Lykos has done exceptional in cold 34°F rain, and temps into the teens as a stand alone while glassing. It packs easy, and I bought 3 others for my daughter, and two best friends in Montana. They all like theirs so far also. Hard to beat this for an insulation layer on cold rifle hunts.
"Great light jacket"
Excellent jacket for New Mexico winter, layer up if the temp drops below 40deg , numerous compliments, gave the link, hope it spurred some sales. Bought a second for my son as a Christmas gift . Keep up the great work!
"Lykos II Jacket"
I love this jacket. It is my daily cold weather defender and will find its place in my pack next fall. I have always been skeptical about puffys because of their tendency to rip. I have gone through thick brush, and have had dogs jump up on me and it still hasn’t ripped. The only complaint I have is that it’s too warm sometimes when you get moving (maybe add some pit zips). Definitely worth it for the price and I might have to get another in highlander.

I have only used this jacket once, late season whitetail in Wisconsin. Temp was 30° Wind was from north west 10-12 MPH. This was the 1st time I was able to sit in the stand with out shivering at least 1 time. Dont let the light weight fool you this jacket is warm. I had a base layer , hoodie, this jacket and an outer shell. When I got back to the truck and removed this jacket my core body was very warm, surprisingly warm. Sizing I'm 6'1" 225 wear an XL in every. I purchased 2 different sizes XL and XXL I decided to go with the XXL. The XL was too tight across the shoulder blades. I was going to return it but after my experience I'm keeping it for my son.
"Lykos II Jacket"
4 stars, only because I haven’t had it in the field, yet. First impressions are a well designed, functional, and very warm jacket. Looking forward to putting it to use this winter.
